You may attend whichever lessons suit you each week (only limited by grade eligibility), as you can see lessons are available four days per week - you will not be charged any extra if you attend more than twice per week!

Our lower age limit is 8 years. Children between the ages of 8 and 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult for their first lesson!

How to join:

Classes are open to new students every week - when you're ready for us, we're ready for you!

If you're not sure about training why not come along and just watch - you can see what happens, talk to the Instructor and students with no commitment and no pressure!

Before you can start training you will need to fill in and sign a licence form - in doing this you acknowledge that you understand learning Taekwondo is a physical activity (and that you may sustain the odd bump along the way) and prompts you to give the Instructor any relevant information about any illness/condition you may have. As soon as this is done you can start training! All you'll need to begin with is loose, comfortable clothing suitable for action and something to drink.

After your first lesson you will need to decide whether to join the club - to do this you'll need to have fully filled in your licence form and given it, along with the relevant licencing and membership fee, to your Instructor at your second class. You will then become a member of the ITC and ITKD for a year and will be able to take gradings, be promoted and participate in ITC events and competitions.
Your licence also includes a student insurance policy which ALL martial arts students should have - in total one years membership of the ITC and student insurance costs £25 (which is next to nothing over the course of a year!)

* Please note that NO-ONE ever gets free insurance, if someone claims to be able to insure you for free they're either paying it from their own pocket or charging you more in other areas to make up the cost - at this club we believe in giving you all the information up front and honest.*

Once you've joined you'll receive a Student Pack full of useful information about Taekwondo and our school.

When you've been training for a couple of months and are approaching your first grading you'll need a training suit (dobok), these are designed to be tough and loose in all the right places - perfect for dynamic training!
These come in various sizes, but all have one thing in common - Quality.
Unlike many other martial arts outfits (which are often given out for free because they are so cheap and flimsy) our doboks are made to last and it is unusual for for any adult student (who has finished growing) to need another in the 3.5 to 4 years to black belt .
You can get a dobok as soon as you want, but you won't be expected to have one until your first grading (minimum three months training) so there's no rush!
